Gazprom says gas engine fuel station number can rise to 1,200 '24

ST.PETERSBURG, Oct 7 (PRIME) -- The number of fuel stations for gas engines in Russia can grow to 1,000–1,200 by 2024 from the current 650, Chairman of Gazprom Board of Directors Viktor Zubkov said on Thursday.

He added that the government allocates subsidies on the gas use as transport fuel, but the subsidies should be spread to 85 regions from 28 to expand faster.

Zubkov also said that gas consumption as transport fuel was to rise to 1.3 billion cubic meters (bcm) in 2021.
